Our Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE (Regarding the Bible)
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian
holy living. (II Timothy 3:16)

WHAT WE BELIEVE (Regarding One God)
We are a monotheistic people (there is but one God). We believe that according to scripture the
God of Abraham, referred to as Jehovah, is the father of all creation who made Himself to be the
Son of God for our salvation. (Isaiah 43:7-11).
Therefore, our Creator is our Saviour. We beheld him as the Son of God through the express
image of Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 1:1-5).
We also understand that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and sent forth his Spirit as the Holy
Ghost which dwells in the saints. (Colossians 1:27).

WHAT WE BELIEVE (Regarding Water Baptism by Immersion)
We believe that according to scripture water baptism was given to John the Baptist from heaven
as a ceremonial law for those who have repented. Jesus continued as an example for us having
called all men everywhere to repent. (Matthew 3:13, 21:25; Acts 17:30).

WHAT WE BELIEVE (Regarding Water Baptism in Jesus name)
We believe according to scripture that water baptism in Jesus name was the only form of baptism
practiced in the Bible. No one was ever baptized in the titles of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
(Acts 2:38-39; Acts 4:12; Acts 8:16; Acts 19:4-5).

WHAT WE BELIEVE (Regarding speaking in other tongues)
We believe that according to the Bible, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance
is the initial evidence of having received the Holy Ghost. (Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; Acts 19:6)
